Every answer, traced back to the moment it was said.

Fluo is a Mac app for qualitative research. It transcribes your interviews on your own machine, lets you ask questions across all of them, and links every answer to the exact second in the recording.

YOU ASKED

Where did people get stuck during onboarding?

Four of the seven participants got stuck at the same point: search doesn't look through what they've already watched.

A summary you can't check is just an opinion.

AI can read twenty interviews faster than you can. But when it tells you what participants said, you have no way to know if they actually said it. So you either trust it blindly or go back and listen to everything yourself. Fluo is built so you never have to choose.

From recording to finding, without losing the source.

    01

    Add your interviews.

Drop in audio files or import straight from Granola. Fluo transcribes on your Mac — nothing is uploaded.

    02

    Mark what matters.

Highlight a passage and it becomes a snippet, tied to who said it and when.

    03

    Turn evidence into insights.

Ask Fluo what stands out across your interviews, or write your own insight. Every insight carries the snippets that support it. You decide what stays.

    Share what you found.

Build artifacts from your accepted insights, with the quotes as proof. One click on any quote plays the moment it was said.

AI analysis is optional. If you use it, you pay Anthropic directly with your own API key — a project of five interviews typically costs $5–10, depending on how much you ask.

Questions

What is an API key, and do I need one?
An API key lets Fluo talk to Claude, Anthropic's AI model, on your behalf. You only need one for AI analysis. Importing and transcribing work without it. Creating a key takes about two minutes. [Step-by-step guide →]
How much will the API cost me?
It depends on how many interviews you have and how much you ask. A project of five interviews typically costs $5–10, mostly from questions across the whole project. You can set a monthly spending limit in your Anthropic account.
Does my audio leave my Mac?
No. Audio is transcribed on your Mac and stays there. If you use AI analysis, only text goes to Anthropic, and only after you've given permission. (The one exception is cloud transcription via OpenAI, which you can choose in Settings — Fluo asks first there too.)
Can I import from Granola?
Yes. Add your Granola API key in Settings and pick meetings straight from a list.
Which Macs does Fluo run on?

Is there a Windows or iPhone version?
